Stuff: the (t)witterings of an easily distracted writer.

Words are important. Not as important as the ideas behind the words, but non-the-less they are important. I find it interesting that for about a third of the human race the words that open the Gospel According To John inform the basis of their beliefs, culture, laws, world view and just about everything else that defines them as a people searate from their neighbours. [1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men. [5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1–5 (KJV) What I find interesting is that it all begins with the Word and not An Idea. It is almost as though the early Founders of the faith understood that ideas come after the words used to describe them. I then ask “What is the Word describing?...

Somehow it all comes back to the first blog post and never seems to get much beyond that. I have lost count of the number of times I have “started” a new blog only to lose interest after a few weeks and move on to something else. Not that it matters all that much. I am not relying on this to make a living, or push customers to buyinig my books or whatever – not yet anyway. It just seems that every year or three right about this time I get the urge to set up a blogging platform of some kind and just write. I could be taking this seriously but the reality is I rarely take anything seriously and I like it like that. I don’t see the point in stressing over things when a small amount of effort and planning will see that most things will get done eventually, and provided they are not necessary for one’s continued existence, in the time frame they need to be done in.
